Craziness In This World Of Ours...

Read this to me!!

Well, today we mourn the loss of at least 100,000 good human beings to the stupidity of government. Yes, I am speaking of the massive tsunamis that hit the pacific yesterday. It seems to me that if a government doesn't know that tsunamis follow massive earthquakes at sea, then they don't have very good scientific sense. The geeks who work for them should be ashamed! And no one was able to get the warnings out. That's pure BS. The governments didn't want panic. They knew that, if they sent the warnings and evacuation orders out, they would have widespread panic. Then, having so little warning and being unable to prevent or deal with said panic, would recieve lots of criticism for inciting said panic. What a world we live in. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Well, now we have the aftermath to deal with- disease, homelessness, looting, and general chaos. Wonderful. The UN will have to send people in, the Red Cross, groups like that. The US will be sending aid as well, I bet, though I think that we should perhaps pull out of Iraq some to help pay for the aid we'll undoubtably be sending. Yes folks, I am against the war in Iraq. Whoopdee doo. Move on. We have more pressing issues as geeks in this world, such as curing cancer, AIDS, and other things like that. And landing on the moon again. And stopping tragedies like this one in the south pacific. *Sigh* That is all for today.

A moment of silence for our departed fellow humans, and especially for all those geeks who perished. May all of the victims rest in peace.
