Franks In Space!

Read this to me!!

Here comes another wonderful news story, for all you spacey people out there:

The French have recently launched their third "spy" satellite via an Ariane rocket. This will supposedly give the French military the ability to "spy" all over the world. The satellite, called Helios 2A, has capabilities ranging from ground mapping for cruise missile guidance to infrared imaging for night photography. Able to spot textbooks from space, the satellite is the latest in French military technology.(Original article can be found here-->Spy Satellite. )

Well, the French have finally decided to move into the 21st century with their spy technology. Maybe the next satellite they launch will have SIGINT (signals intelligence, i.e. radio interception) capabilities. At any rate, the French can now see what you're doing at night- and through clouds and stuff. Make sure that you insulate the roof of your house so they can't watch you at night. We all know what the French like- why else does so much pron come out of that country? See, now I'm just not being funny. Oh well. The French now have 3 "spy" satellites in orbit. We have over 20. Just goes to show, maybe we don't have our priorities straight and we're spending too much on military, or maybe the French are just poor. I think it's the first one. We spend 400 billion dollars per year ($400,000,000,000USD) on the military, and not even a third of that on almost every other social program combined. See a problem? Perhaps not. In that case, you're probably a republican, and then you probably don't like my opinions, either. In either case, this is The Daily Geek, and we bid you good day and happy geekness.
